McCain says tax increases should be "on the table" for super committee.
I just recieved this tweet from Think Progress:

@thinkprogress ThinkProgress

On Bloomberg, McCain says tax increases should be "on the table" for super committee.

Does anyone know anything about this?

1. You're kidding?
Then again, he can say anything. Dems did the same with saying SS/Medicare/Medicare were on the table. Off the table. On the table. Off the table. Oh yea, let's get the committee to do it so none of us gets our hands dirty with the blood of those who'd be hurt the most.

No taxes are the R's version of the sacred cow. If he did say this than I fully expect him to flip flop several times before finally saying they were never on the table to begin with.

A song lyric just went through my head; games people play, night or day they're just not matchin', what they should do, keeps me feeling blue.

2. I think McCain is worried about the defense spending cuts...
and that loosened some cog in his brain.

I expect a flip flop from him, as well. The GOP will not stand for such crazy talk!

4. Video link and partial statement:
"Well, I think everything should probably be on the table. But, ah, I am sure that Republicans are committed to not raising taxes. And, I don't think that anybody that really adheres to strong fiscal conservative principles believes that we should raise taxes. But, reform of the tax code, absolutely. We all know the tax code has to be reformed. Now how do you do that without raising taxes? Well, you reduce the corporate tax, in my view, from 35-25 and then you close loopholes."
