RedState.com: "Obama is the Big Winner in the Debt-Ceiling Debate"
Interesting to see perspectives from the other side:

And in the political analysis, there is only one player who came out of this with everything he wanted: Barack Obama.

Obama wasn’t trying to advance a policy objective. Not even once did he let the articulation of such a thing pass his lips. Rather he had two specific objectives that he had to get at all costs:

1) To get Republicans to propose specific spending cuts that Democrats can use against them in the coming elections, while not making any such proposals himself; and
2) To silence the fiscal debate until after his election in 2012.

The president won on both counts. Everything else that was at stake in the negotiation was a nice-to-have for him, not a need-to-have.
.
.
.
The downside for conservatives is clear: We’ve lost our last chance for a meaningful discussion on fiscal reform, until there’s another financial or economic crisis.

1. Oh those aren't real problems for the crazy right.
Seems the Republican Fascist Party can easily enough create economic crisis out of nothing. So that argument (#2) is silly.

And argument #1 is just crazy. They propose cuts over and over again. What, only Obama cuts are bad for RepubliCONS? What about all those cuts to Medicare in the Ryan plan and the privatization of and Social Security? Do they honestly believe that because they dress up their cuts with popular words, people don't know they are spending cuts?

I don't buy it. This RepubliCON objections are merely show. So Obama and Bohner can say, "See both sides hate it so it must be good."

Look at the results of the bill what in the end will happen.

1. A 2% Tax Increase on working people due to the expiration of the payroll tax holiday. And yet no tax increase on the rich, corporations or Wall Street. An expiration of extended unemployment.

2. Cuts, big and ugly, on everything that helps the working class. Yet NO cuts to program the rich use like Agriculture subsidies and tax write offs.

3. An Unconstitutional Super Congress that will give radical trickle down conservatives cover to cut Social Security (without hiding the benefits cuts) and Medicare. Not to mention cover to take away the home interest deduction, stop educating our children, and lower the idle rich's taxes even more.

The RepubliCONS have Nothing to complain about. It's all show to appease the left that got screwed.
