What will be this year's August Silly Season story?
The debt ceiling is done for better or worse.

So what will be the non-story that the bored news media latches onto and won't let go of until Labor Day?

In the past years we had:

2001: Shark attacks
2004: The Swift Boat Liars
2005: Cindy Sheehanapalooza
2008: Manufactured drama about Hillary Clinton voters not supporting Obama/PUMAs
2009: Town Hall August (you should know what that means)
2010: The "Ground Zero Mosque"

and in 2011? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

4. "Cindy Sheehanapalooza" is what made it OK to oppose the Iraq war.
It was not considered OK in 2004 to even oppose the war or question its legitimacy.

6. There won't be one. Republican media wants to rub our nose into their win.
