1. That has to be the message now: You kept your low taxes, where's the jobs you say it creates?

Over and over and over. We won't, of course. For some reason that escapes me.

2. Resume? seriously?

I'm pushing 60 and even though I was highly regarded in my profession, I couldn't get an interview to save my life. No worries though, my job now is taking care of my 90 y/o mother. The pay's not great but the benefits are outstanding.

If I were in my late 40's and had to make a living to support loved ones, I'd pretty much do anything. As it is, I don't think I'll go back to work for a wage again until my mother is gone. Then I won't worry too much about money. I got by on $10K a year since '02. Living in the old homestead I can get by for much less.

Considering what so many others are dealing with, I feel pretty lucky.
