We need a progressive filibuster! I'm asking Senator Sanders to filibuster:
Senator,

PLEASE Filibuster the debt bill.

It will instantly turn our unheard pleas into a shot heard round the world.

We can get our message out, and with it weild some real progressive power.

Progressive solutions are the best solutions for a free Democracy.

1. Doesn't it already need 60 votes?

2. No, an old fashioned filibuster.
Take the floor, talk, and don't yield for anything. He only has to delay the vote by about 12 hours to effectively kill it and force the President to use the 14th.

And if Bernie can't talk for 12 hours, he can find 3 others to share the burden.

3. I wish I could see your suggestion as anything other than backfiring...
But, I can not see anything positive coming from it, I'm afraid. Sanders is right, but he will be in the extreme minority. This thing has gone too far, with too many repercussions if it does not go through. We need a real (and long term) strategy for the future to avoid this crap in the future.

4. Sanders won't filibuster
even though he'll likely vote against it.

Neither will the right wing opponents Demint, Paul and Lee.

The leadership won't permit it. It's too crucial a measure with little time for grandstanding left.

7. Which is what will make it so loud. It will be front page news across the world.
It will shake the bones and pocketbooks of the powerful. Women will scream. Tangerines will cry.

It is time to strike, the iron is hot.

A clean bill will be passed in emergency session by nightfall, should we do this.

5.  Or else, make sure Obama picks the super committee members
or put all you money in credit unions, stop paying health ins. Stock up on food and water, make friends with you neighbors and let the economy crash. If it takes down the greedy, big banks and wall street maybe we will have a chance. After all we are use to tightening our belts, I for one am sick of their threats. The wealthy will wish they paid their fair of taxes for a "civilized society" Why do we pay their salaries, pension and health care, congress that is. We need an action plan, I'm tired of being scared.

8. So Bernie talks, the nation defaults and what good comes of it?
Higher interest rates, progressives taking the blame, the tea partiers getting what they wanted--the total collapse of the economy

Sounds like an excellent plan. Not.

9. Bernie instantly becomes the most powerful man in the world. Austerity fails.
Tax hikes on the rich are passed in the next few months.

Both houses pass a clean bill by nightfall.
