Where does this leave us with Obama?
Wow! In my case, I'm not sure anymore.

One thing's for sure though, we gotta work really hard in 2012. We can't let this ever happen again.

Now I have this nightmarish image of Sarah Palin in a frilly dress, wagging her finger at us, mooning us at regular intervals, and chanting, "How's that hopey-changey stuff working for you? Nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah! We won, you betcha!"

It's times like this that I wish I had a coconut cream pie the size of Rhode Island to throw at Sarah's happy little ass.

Those on The Hill may be in bed with the corporations, but there are still plenty of local and/or state politicians not so beholden to their corporate masters.

12. To keep the Progressive dream alive, to roll back the troglodytes
To install a Congress that possesses the ability to do things. To turn the South around. To protect unions. To protect minorities. To level the wealth inequalities. To put people back to work. Just a few of many, many things needing doing.

This is awful. But elections can and do change things.

Supreme Court is because of 8 years of the most recent Rethug Presidency.

Another 8 years could seal our fate forever.

11. Puzzled that's for sure.
What are my alternatives at this point? Throw my vote away? One thing for sure, my money will not go to Obama but it will go to any progressive candidate I think has even a remote chance of winning. I live in a deep blue state but I can certainly help out other states that we can bring over from the dark side.

18. Pay closer attention to him that's for sure
I was taken back a little by Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Mathews. She had Obama's back all the way. It came down to not letting the country default which would be bad. Most democrats that voted for it had the same reasoning but they had attitudes like someone who had just been violated. One said they were going home to throw up.
But this is far from over. I don't think they will go thru this again with the tea party types. Was just to demoralizing. The next 12 months I believe are going to be hell on earth. Schisms are coming.

And by far the commentary is anti-bad policy, not anti-Obama.

i do not understand the person that can shift from the person that creates the problem to blame another.

22. It leaves us with a president that has done a 180 from his campain, he is a full blown Reaganite now
each citizen will have to struggle with whether they should continue to support a pol that works against their interests.
I know I can't but others may feel they have to eat the shit and like it, I would not lecture them for doing what they feel they must.

27. Verily, we can never afford to sit on our asses during an election year.
Too many Democrats couldn't be bothered to vote in 2010. We can never make that mistake again.

But.... we will. Then we'll bitch about it. Then we'll blame everyone except ourselves. And the Great Wheel of Douchebaggery will continue spinning. Then we'll fight with those who hold similar beliefs. Then we'll decide that voting really doesn't matter.

And the Great Wheel of Douchebaggery will continue spinning.

31. I have a better question.
Where in the hell would we be w/out him. The GOP in it present incarnation is not composed of rational people. We will get those tax cuts! And to date the "big 3" remains unscathed. Where would we be with a President Perry, Romney, Bachman etc adnauseum?

38. You mean, where would we be without him delivering the Republican
economic narrative to the nation as truth -- tax cuts produce jobs and spending cuts do, too?

And to date, no the Big 3 are NOT unscathed. He will reup the FICA "holiday" and Medicare is on the table in the second round.
