became Speaker and beyond. Maybe she is voting her conscience, you're right. Like she refused to go after the Bush war criminals, and refused to fight for a PO in the HC Bill. And like she forced a Congress that initially voted against bailouts for the criminals on Wall St, to vote AGAINST their consciences.
Her conscience doesn't and hasn't helped this country so far. Look where we are?? We are WORSE off than when Bush was running this country into the ground. I thought electing Democrats would turn that ship around.
She is a politician. And she is not very receptive to anyone who disagrees with her.
We are always in a position of saying 'this is the best we can get'. Why is that? Republicans got everything they wanted when they were in the majority. There were no excuses, no 'this is the best we can do'.
Let's face it, Democrats are horrible negotiators, they are weak much as I hate to admit it. Either that, or they are not working for us.
I am with those who voted against this travesty. But then, being Democrat I am always on the losing side, even when we have a majority. I do not like being a loser. I want to belong to a party that doesn't make excuses, that doesn't hand over their lunch money to bullies. I don't even know what it feels like to be part of a winning team. Well, except for a few hours after we won in 2008. But it was so brief I don't remember the feeling anymore.
