No tax pledge signers on follow-up committee.
When selecting members of "Penalty Committee" tasked with further savings, ask each member if they have signed a pledge concerning the Committee's operations.

If they have signed Norquist's pledge, they should not be on the Committee.

That leaves out all but six Republicans.

4. Details still vague, but here's what NYT says:
It's "special joint committee" to explore deficit reduction.

I don't think it's permanent. It makes a report to Congress at some point. Sorry I don't know more.
