Delhi women protest attacks in 'Slut Walk'
DEMONSTRATORS in India's capital held the country's first "Slut Walk" yesterday to protest at an alarming rise in sexual assaults and a growing sense of insecurity among women.
Hundreds attended the rally in New Delhi organised by 19-year-old journalism student Umang Sabarwal.

In Slut Walks - which have become a global phenomenon since a Canadian policeman remarked that women could avoid being raped by not dressing like "sluts" - women march dressed in skimpy clothing to challenge the mindset that victims of sexual assault should be blamed.
