We Are Wisconsin HQ destroyed in fire
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/07/30/1000880/-We-Are-Wisconsin-HQ-destroyed-in-fire

The We Are Wisconsin headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin, was totally destroyed in a fire that started at 9:30 a.m. today and is still burning. There were staff in the building when the fire started, but all were evacuated and are safe. At this time, there is no indication of the cause of the fire.

State Representative Jennifer Shilling, who is running against Republican Senator Dan Kapanke in one of the state's recall elections, is going to need assistance following this fire. The recall election is less than two weeks away and this is going to seriously impact her get-out-the-vote effort.

1. I'll retain comment until a cause of the fire has been released
But I think we all know where this is going.

4. Give up the conspiracies. I live in La Crosse. The fire didn't start in the We Are Wisconsin
but spread to it. Those are old buildings and they are connected together.

So give the conspiracy theories a rest.

6. My 19 year old goddaughter worked for them for a few weeks before the pseudo primary,
canvassing to get out the vote. Recently she has done the same thing for a different organization to get out the vote for the recall.

Here in La Crosse you see many Shilling signs, but not many for Kapanke. I think there is a good amount of people voting early as well. My goddaughter and I voted last Monday morning and there were about 94 early voters that day at the La Crosse city clerk's office.

There had been complaints about the cost of the absentee ballots by some city clerks and in fact the one here near La Crosse in West Salem complained that the people going door to door were almost "strong-arming" voters into requesting an absentee ballot, whatever that meant. I couldn't see my goddaughter strong-arming anyone.
