I don't understand
How can wall street + Koch Brothers + all the powers that be .. how can they be pushed around by freshman tea parties? Couldn't the BFEE call Bachmann types and say get behind boner or you will be politically dead?

I still see this drama through a shock doctrine lens.. propaganda - All is phony..

1. The loudest voice gets the most acknowledgement.
For good or ill.

Or ill, as the tea baggers would have it....

7. We don't know their position on the Bond Market
They are probably well short at this point. It really doesn't matter to them, they will either make money or have enough hedges to not get hurt badly.

A default which hurts other businesses allows them to rush in with their Mr Potter hats on and grab some 'bargains'.

6. The teabaggers are true believers
No one can really control true believers. They can finance them and use them, but they made the mistake of giving them power. And the teabaggers aren't corrupted by money yet. They're too new to Washington and they're still wild eyed in their fanatic beliefs.
