4. Chuck Schumer said he heard it, was there during the call...
Either it was on speakerphone or maybe Harry held out the phone, and they all huddled around it.

So is Mitchie denying the filibuster threat now too?

These people.

6. Regarding a filibuster ...
From earlier today...

News Flash
GOP Sen. Thune: Tweaked Reid Plan Probably Won’t Be Filibustered, Could Pass House | Appearing this afternoon on Fox News, Sen. John Thune (R-SC) said that if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) brings his debt ceiling plan up, it will get a vote in the Senate. In other words, enough Republicans would support Reid to prevent a filibuster. Thune also suggested that, if the Reid plan was “strengthened” it could collect 216 votes in the House, enough for passage.

So, may be there are some republicans that aren't for the filibuster

7. "Strengthened" My Ass!
Not trying to rain on your parade Tx4Obama - but I gotta vent. We both know what these right wing idiots think will strengthen Reid's bill. Personally, I think immediately repealing the Bush tax cuts might do the trick.

10. Obviously, Thune Is Not In A Leadership Position
Because Republicans are currently filibustering the modified Reid bill. There will be a second vote Sunday morning at 1AM. Now how stupid is a 30 hour filibuster and how stupid is it to hold the vote at 1AM. Reid requested that McConnell join him in negotiations in his office and his door was open. Nobody showed up.

11. Well, it will be 1AM because that is when the 30 hours will be up.
Every hour is going to matter/count from now until August 2nd, so waiting until Monday morning would just waste valuable time.
