3. McConnell ain't blowing nothing up and he is not going to

filibuster. He's posturing for negotiation. He won't be able to stop the Reid bill from getting a couple of republican votes. He'll cave when he sees that. Democrats will say they passed a bi-partisan bill while the republicans could not. Then democrats will be in position to do what is necessary to avoid the default.
