CNN gave him more time than he should have been allowed on the people's airwaves Sunday. He exposed himself as the worst kind of ideologue, propagandist, and hatemonger. Pompous, narcissistic, shit-stirrer.

He turned my stomach.

1. First person I heard on the radio after evacuating to ATL was Neil Boortz.

It was about 4 days after Monday when he Boortz was already trashing New orleans 'refugees'. We were apparently to blame for having lived in such an accursed place populated with so many lazy you-know-whats. He didn't use the N word but for about an hour we got the message (ring around the rosy...).

I have never ever listened to Boortz again. The hatred of New orleans (and his racial inferences) were shockingly obvious.

I love how they pounce on one tiny little thing , ignoring everything else that contradicts what they're saying. He listed the Communist Manifesto as one of his favorite books. Never mind that he also listed Mein Kampf and reknowned anti-communist Ayn Rand. Never mind that there's no evidence he actually read or understood the Communist Manifesto. Never mind that his rhetoric comes from the libertarian right. A girl who said she knew him says he was left-wing. Never mind that the preponderance of the evidence indicates she's either lying or doesn't know what she's talking about.

I listened to him long ago, he was a prick and would tell you right up front that he was a prick, but he was sometimes a howlingly funny prick who wasn't above making himself the butt of a joke, he also wasn't a doctrinaire righty although he was more right than left.

Then the lure of syndication and really big and easy money got him and he turned into yet another goose stepping right wing blowhard.

You have to tell the wingnuts exactly what they want to hear if you expect the money to roll in, no deviation from the script is allowed.
