Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich wants a retrial.
Guess he can't stand being out of the public eye.

Convicted last month of fraud, bribery, and extortion, Blagojevich filed a motion Monday for a retrial.
Last month, Blagojevich was convicted by a jury in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on 17 of counts including attempting to sell the Senate seat. He claims The motion, while asserting that the court operated with a "closed mind," criticizes U.S. District Judge James Zagel of not giving proper respect to Blagojevich's testimony after assuring the defense that the testimony would be valued in the case. Blagojevich is currently out on $450,000 bail and faces up to decades in prison. The court is expected to respond to the motion sometime next month.

1. Didn't think we would have another Dem governor in Illinois for a decade after this incident

And the Dem who took over for Blago after he was impeached and removed from office won the last election against a clone of the WI. governor Walker.

Even the Republicans were smart enough not to vote for the Walker clone here in Illinois.

Weird, eh?

2. While Rove and Lawrence Libby walk free with "blood on their hands"
Obama should pardon Blago.

3. you think he's trying to get publicity?
He couldn't possibly be trying to stay out of prison, could he? Nah, it's gotta be the publicity.

I think he should get a retrial. Why not? The state got two chances to convict him after he won the first trial. Let's make it best out of three.
