Have you noticed when the GOP talks about cutting "entitlements", they never say the word Medicare?
Or the words Social Security?
These fuckers have done their own internal polling and discovered that most people think "entitlements", is welfare for those "other people."
And when they use the word "entitlements", no one in the media ever pins them down about exactly what they are talking about cutting either. Notice that?
The Dems need to realize what is going on and spell this out for the American people.
1. Another meme that Obama and the Dems should attack...
"When they say entitlements they mean Medicare and Social Security...those are programs that have never contributed one penny to the deficit...but they think you are too stupid to realize that they want to steal your Social Security and Medicare!"
11. Are they showing that commerical with the Seniors
saying don't cut my Social Security and Medicare? It is non-stop on all channels here in Florida. I think most people are smart enough to put the two together; "entitlements" = Social Security and Medicare.
Florida probably has the largest number of Seniors, and they aren't all RICH and stupid. Yet, even the Republicans here still use "entitlements". Didn't we just witness this with the fight between Wasserman/Schultz and West?
12. They are counting on enough people not knowing the difference

The GOP knows a lot of people hear what they want to hear. My elderly mother is that way. Try telling her something that doesn't fit into her preconceived notions and she doesn't want to hear she won't hear a word you say. Even if you scream it at her. Now if she wants to hear something like my wife and I talking to each other in a normal voice in the other room she will hear what we said word for word.
That is why they use codewords like "entitlements."
They know it won't work on everyone. But they do know it will probably work on enough people like my elderly mother to sway an election.
