Interesting observation about current House.gov accessibility

I can get through to the roster just fine:

http://www.house.gov/representatives/

In a casually random sample that I checked, the connect time for Democrats seems to be pretty good. For Republicans, not so good, and sometimes not at all.

What might this mean?

1. Probably teabaggers arguing for default.
But who knows.

9. That's what I wonder

It's not necessary for me to contact my representative or senators (Delaware).

But if this means that more R's than D's are being contacted (and excluding the possibility of Verizon / Comcast / Time Warner working a bit of internet magic), then who is contacting them and why?

Teabaggers saying "stand firm"

or sane people saying "don't screw us"

I wonder which is the more likely hypothesis.

15. There's a lot of net users of benefits in republicans districts
It could be teabaggers saying "keep your hands off my medicare and social security!"

16. Now there's another interesting angle

We may have seen the first shot from the top for the 2012 congressional elections.

3. Glad you could get through - hopeless for me. Gonna wait til tomorrow but
I'd say it's a very good sign that people are lighting up every mode of communication available to them.

Hopefully to give them all a piece of their minds by saying ENOUGH!

5. Hello DLine - looks like we're trying to contact the same teabagger.
Did you get the SS flyer she sent around asking people's opinions on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid?

My mom and I are both registered Dems and we got it. Weird.

7. Nope, she must have forgotten about me...
Then again there is a good chance anything coming in the mail with her name on it would quickly make its way into the trash.

8. We put ours in the burning pit.
She best tread carefully with the Big 3. There are way too many people who voted for her in my neighborhood who receive either SS, SSI, Medicare and Medicaid who'd be pretty po'd if there socialist programs get mucked around with.

6. Boehner's site is completely crashed. I was going to give him my opinion.
Looks like he's gotten lots of them. I doubt those are Republicans crashing those sites. Republicans I know don't watch Obama under any circumstances. They wait to find out what Fox said about what he said. They don't trust themselves with their own opinions.

10. That's reasonable

You might have something there.

Died in the wool teabaggers would have a hard time sitting through the speech, and would not have gotten to the call to action.

You may very well be correct.

I wonder if anyone on Fox issued a similar call to "counter the eevil Obama army".
