Off-cam conversation with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chair of the Republican Study Committee that backed Cut, Cap and Balance. The RSC is comprised of nearly 180 of the most conservative Republicans.

Jordan said that he did not support the speaker’s new plan. He says the don’t know the new numbers and didn’t fully know yet how the caps would work.

However, Jordan says “the biggest thing is the balanced budget amendment.” Jordan says “we need to have that sent to the states.”
