Now the Republicans have no excuse to not raise the debt ceiling
Edited on Mon Jul-25-11 02:37 PM by Tony_FLADEM
They are getting 2.7 trillion in spending cuts and 0 in tax increases. If this is rejected it will be apparent to everyone that the Republicans want the country to default.

1. It's not so much that they want the country to default
It's that they want the issue to be able to unseat Obama in 2012.

2. Yep
The only way for them to get at Obama is to destroy the country.

I'll not allow myself to be on that side of the fence.

6. No they don't. They want whatever they can get while also
dividing the Democratic Party as it negotiates its surrender and being able to blame Obama for the pain everyday Americans will continue to feel.

7. That's how I am seeing this plan
Oh, and my understanding is the 2.7 trillion in spending cuts is coming from us ending these wars we are in. So if the Republicans don't accept this plan does that mean they are for never ending wars? Hmmmmmmm.

8. Boehner can not say yes, to even a YESSSSSSSSSSS Deal
He doesn't have the votes. Teabag caucus has vowed to vote no on any debt ceiling increase, no matter the deal.

9. They'll just say it didn't go far enough.
Count on it. I've been around this block a few times.
