"I am sick of stupid"
I think this should be the new catchphrase for those of us who love our country and are sick to death of the stupid that has been flourishing by way of teabaggers, weeping speakers, whining Canters, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, bejeweled Newts and the remaining multitudes of stupid.

1. I've been sick of stupid for about 5 years now
which is why when I encounter a ranter in real life, I react with derision and walk away twirling my index finger next to my temple. Online I react with block and ignore.

Life is much better that way.

Now if we can only get them mad enough to get stupid out of our government.

Unfortunately, that's a tall order since stupid likes to vote for stupid so stupid will have representation.

3. Me too. But I think now is the time
to start actually pointing and saying stupid. Though that could be a bit of insanity on my part. I do like the short, to the point sound bite this would be.

REPORTER: "President Obama, what is your reaction to the inability of the Republicans to accept any offer?"
OBAMA: "I am sick of stupid."

REPORTER: "Congressman Frank, Do you think the President was out of line in referring to the Republicans as stupid?"
FRANK: "I am also sick of stupid."

Just fantasizing about truth.

5. I especially like when they can't grok the difference
between fact and opinion. Unreal.
My response to those that say "well I'm entitled to my opinion" is usually along the lines of "yes you certainly are, and we're all entitled to point and laugh at you because of it".

12. That is absolutely the biggest problem
Truth has a liberal bias therefore everyone's opinion, whether it is based on imagination, lies, purposeful falsehood - whatever, must be aired and given credence.

It is beyond bizarre.

6. I am more sick of meanness and dishonesty
Your statement there seems both mean and arrogant.

You are not gonna win people over by calling them stupid, even if they are.

8. Who thinks they can be won over? Why pretend like we need to?
Stop shooting for 80% and realize we need a majority.

10. How do you get a majority
when you believe anybody who dares disagree with you is stupid?

13. No, I think stupid is disagreeing with demonstrable facts.
The right has used the nation as their lab and the experiment has blown up in our faces

It is stupid to continue on the current trajectory.

15. No, politicians have used the nation as their lab
So, IF you truly want an effective majority, you have to convince the right of the aisle voters that you are the one with the best ideas.
And "I know what is best for you better than you do" and "You are stupid for not thinking like me" are NOT working.

16. What I think isn't germane. Policies have outcomes, they must be assessed.
When a person's opinion refuse to account for real world outcomes it makes for stupid or delusional and neither is an insult.

9. I agree with the mean, but it is not dishonest.
I AM sick of stupid and that is the truth. I also know I am not alone.

I no longer desire to try to politely convince those who choose to be stupid to see and understand the reality. It does not change their minds.
