or did the 2010 voters?
I agree with you that the tea party for the most part was manufactured. Fake grass roots, funded by billionaires.
The biggest player in their creation was the media, who promoted them, artificially inflated their numbers, and pretended as if their viewpoint was rational. The media who acted as if Sharon Angle was a credible candidate..
None the less they do exist, and they control the house.
That is the reality of the 2010 election.
We are seeing lots of "buyers remorse" in the States which elected Republican Governors and put their congresses under R control.
The basic political reality remains:
- 2010 election put a bunch of extremists in the house. - Bills have to be passed by this house. - The Republican Leadership have lost control of their members - These house members are "True Beleivers"
These people are fanatics who are so ideological they are willing to do pretty much anything to create the teabagger utopia. Michele Bachmann is the poster child for this group - ignorant, rageful, and vengeful.
Your theoretical framework presumes some secret pack between Boehner and Obama to move the country to the right.
Even if this were true, you can't seem to fathom the degree to which the teaparty reps are calling the shots. They are the gatekeepers.
If the Dems had the House, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING. That is the bottom line. Pelosi House put through some excellent legislation.
I agree with you that we must push for more Liberals/Progressives in the Senate and the House. This should be our main focus.
But your theoretical framework is too lopsided.
