Let's just get this straight about Boehner
He walked out because Obama didn't offer to directly divert the taxes we pay to SS and Medicare directly into the bank accounts of the rich. He didn't offer to send what's currently in the SS fund to Halliburton or to the RNC through Halliburton, and giving fort knox to the Kock brothers wasn't in the deal either. Although Obama did offer to set up a harem of prostitutes, he didn't include a lifetime supply of Huggies and pacifiers (not just to Vitter).

Obama and to an extent the rest of the Democrats in congress should not be trying to sooth the Republicans little temper tantrums and absolutely should not be offering to cut SS and Medicare. Although I don't think Obama deserves all the criticism he gets here, and I really do want to support him, it's unrealistic not to condemn him for offering as much as he did. Yes, I'd rather have him that allow another Republican president to take Scott Walker national.

1. He offered them 'everything' knowing they wouldn't accept 'anything'
he agreed to.

He just played them like a cheap video game.

3. I'd really like to believe that
And in fact, you might be right. But it still leaves me feeling a bit uncomfortable.

6. You cannot play politics at this level successfully without making EVERYONE
uncomfortable.

I get the feeling he'll get a clean debt ceiling bill.

5. I'd bet he's been learning stuff about them that he needs to know too.
Stuff having to do with the Derivative Crash that he can't get at because it's private information. He at least has some hypotheses about all of that now.

Boehner was in way over his head.

10. It was an interesting one
Kind of an odd premise and just very weird. You were trying to fix the mind of someone who was insane. I used to try to do that until I realized that I was insane, then I just gave into it and started reading up on quantum mechanics.

You can still play it on the Amiga emulator, if you're feeling a little too normal.

8. He never even considered that they would accept his concessions..
They took vows and pledges about increasing taxes and are afraid of losing their campaign support....
