1. There will be no Primary. Obama will be reelected. And you will do what?
Not a damn thing.

t is time for Democrats to come home.
It is time to put our principles ahead of personalities.
It is time to return to the ideals and ideas that made the Democratic Party:
- the party of the people, not the party of corporations and the rich,
- the party of building potential and opportunity for all, not status quo for the few,
- the party of peace, diplomacy, and building bridges not burning them,
- the party of defending the civil rights of a minority over the mob of majority,
- the party of assuring the well-being of those at the dawn and those at the twilight of their lives,
- the party of defending the inherent right of access to healthcare for all, and
- the party that stands with it's promises to the people.

2. Marcy Kaptur?!
Her record on choice is equivocal at best. I understand she's a solid economic progressive, but that hurts.

6. Some great choices there. Not.
Two members of Congress with national name recognition that probably is in the single digits. Two guys that lost their last local elections. And an 70 year old (71 on election day) avowed Socialist who is great for his state but would drag down Demcoratic senate and house candidates in ways you wouldn't even want to contemplate.

Sorry. If you want to discuss a primary, you better come up with realistic candidates. Heck, Dennis K is more realistic than any of the ones listed and we have first hand knowledge of how well he does in primaries.

10. It would be political suicide to engage Obama in a primary.
These guys and gals care far too much about themselves and their power, to do something stupid like that.

Branding the crap that the Republicons throw at him in style. (A bit moderate for my tastes, but won't roll over, either.)

27. Bayh would have a shot nationally
And he's irked enough I could see him doing it. I don't think that's what people on DU mean when they talk about a primary challenge, though.

26. Quite a few people who just lost their own seat
I think you overestimate how much of the country is with us. In Democratic primaries, for instance, Kucinich gets 10 times the support on DU than he does in real life. Not 10 points more: 10 times as much.
