Poll question: If the President caves into the Republicans on debt reduction
Will you vote for him again?

No "well if tax increases are included" no "well let's see what happens after he is re-elected and he changes this when we maybe win a majority in the House and Senate".

yes or no. Draw a line in the sand.

Thanks

1. Y'know, I thinmk I'll just let Rick Perry become President
:sarcasm:

Really, folks, think of the consequences of NOT re-electing Obama. Perry, Pawlenty, etc., would make Bush look like a man of integrity and intellect by comparison.

2. That wasn't the question, and politicking isn't the answer
Let people decide for themselves. I'm tired of the fear mongering.

7. And the Republicans will keep getting worse because Democrats are pushing the spectrum to the right.
When Obama adopts the Bush Doctrine, the right gets to differentiate themselves by moving further right and then we get "Bachman" on the plate. If the Democrats held their ground, Republicans wouldn't be able to move to the right. Right-sliding Democratic presidents are just as bad for our political system as Republicans because they normalize Republican positions as "the center."

5. Yes. If I don't, I'm shooting myself in the foot. As bad as it
can seem now, it would be so much worse if a Republican held the job.

As angry/disappointed/discouraged as I may be, I'm not willing to risk my future just to make myself feel better about "showing him" and voting for someone else - or not at all.

I think we're in a fight for our lives, and if he's the lesser of two evils, so be it. Unless we come up with a viable option who could WIN, I'm not willing to risk it.

of messing with The Big Three is on the table. Pelosi made some statement that benefits wouldn't be touched. I'll go see if I can find it and bring back the link.

Edit:

snip/ Pelosi reiterated her insistence that Democrats will oppose cuts to entitlement benefits as a tool of deficit reduction. And she established a rule of thumb for how much help Boehner can expect from her party.

"As far as the number is concerned, the bigger the cuts the fewer the Democrats," she said. /snip

8. Yes because heres the facts
If the Repukes are handed the Presidency, they will not only Cuts Social Security and Medicare, they will completely dismantle all social programs. You may be angry with the president right now but you know as well as I do that he is far better compared to any Republican who is around at this point. If you don't believe it lets just let Michele Bachmann be president for a few weeks, see how much damage she could really do.

14. The Republicans
Are pretty much trying to that doing that now..or haven't you been paying attention to the bills they've been passing?

Granted they haven't been able to pass the Senate...maybe we need to get back control of the House and better control of the Senate.

11. I will in order to keep a Republican out of office, but that's all
In the meantime, I'll be targeting donations to progressive candidates around the country. No matter who is in the White House, I want him to have to face a Congress with more progressives and less conservative dead wood.

18. As pissed off as I would be - who are you going to vote for?
For me, not voting is NOT an option, so the Delmar is what to do, I sure as hell would not vote for any republican under any circumstance. Hell could freeze over and the skies part but I would not vote for a republican.

19. Vote for Senators, vote for Congress critters, vote for Governor, vote for the local school board,
No one said don't vote, just don't vote for someone who will not represent or support your best interests.

and it hasn't moved.

I think I'll refrain from illustrating it, or answering yes or no, to avoid inevitable deletions.
