I had a LTTE published in our newspaper yesterday. . I wrote about how
Government can't be run like a household or a business, how the stimulus worked, but it was way too small to fill the hole that was dug by the greedy bankers, and that 40% of it was tax cuts. i ended with stating my desire that Obama have another four years in office, and if you look at what the pubs elected in a number of states have done, nobody wants those actions on a federal level.

Today, I received a letter in the mail. One of the local rednecks apparently was unset enough by my lte that he had to write me directly in response. He called Obama MAD, calculating, and determined to end Amrica as we know it. Here's his last paragraph: " We are worse off right now, Congress is in disarray, the economy is out of sight, our jobs have been shipped to China and India, two of our major industries have been taken over by the government, education of our students is at the bottom of the barrel out of 50 states, nothing that iss positive or purposful is being implemented. And to top it off, the Obama family thinks nothing of spending millions of dollars on their little family jaunts around the world. Disgusting! NOW tell me if you want another four years for a liar a muslim (non
Christian), a Communist (socialism), and a dedicated destroyer of the free world. If you saya YES, then you are part of the problem and I am sorry for you. Obama is an exact duplicate of Mussoulini, Mao, and Hitler."

Of course the little weasel didn't have the ba**s to include his return address, just his name, HOward Peters. The post mark is from Georgia, but only says North Metro, Ga 300

I tried to find him via the net, but couldn't find anyone with his name that matched his zipcode which I thinnk is 30026. I was thinking about contacting the newspaper to see if they would let me respond to him via the LTTE but perhaps they'd think I was just nuts.

It's so wonderful living is such a red state!!!!!!!!!

1. Redneck, klansman, same difference. These are the Bush cheerleaders.
This Howard Peters was most likely one of Bush's cheerleaders, as were the teabaggers.

3. Naw, then I think it really WOULD be nuts. the biggest problem I have
is that the paper was the Gainesville Times, and none of the Howard Peters' addresses I found are in areas close enough to be likely subscribers to that paper. Obviously he could have mailed it from work, and that could be almost any of the ones you found except for the very few that are in very southern ga. and too far to drive each day.

Sorry to have bothered all of you with this, but I was more ticked off that I couldn't respond to him than by what he said, and I had to bitch to someone. Thanks for being there DUers.

4. similar experience here - got an anonymous letter Tuesday
only my Mr. Anonymous included the print out of a couple teabag emails. On those printouts were his email name. With that I could easily get his name and address.
I live in a small town and the chief of police is a friend of mine. I plan to turn the letter over to him just to let him know.
I have had a couple telephone threats in the past and therefore treat anonymous letters seriously.
In speaking with another friend, I mentioned this guys name and she knew quite a bit about him. Apparently he has called her and had some conversations. She said among other things he is a gun nut.
