I sign up for right wing emails just to see what the other side reads and this is one I got today... it seems quite hysterical to me.


The anti-gun rules require gun dealers to report anyone who makes multiple semi-automatic weapon purchases within five days to the ATF. The gun buyer's personal information is then put into a massive government list where their gun activity will likely be TRACKED and MONITORED for the rest of their lives! 18,000 LAW-ABIDING Americans will be put on this list a year!

Never mind that a president is supposed to go through Congress to pass laws. Obama doesn't think those silly rules apply to him! Obama will likely hand Congress executive orders or administrative actions so he can bypass the Republican-controlled House. We MUST bury Congress in a flood of faxes STRONGLY OPPOSING Obama's gun-grabbing scheme!

There will be NO bill for Congress to debate! There will be NO bill for Congress to strike down! And there will be NO bill for the American people to oppose! No President has even been as ANTI-GUN and VINDICTIVE to gun owners as Barack Obama! Unless you and I act today, new harsh gun control measures may soon be executive ordered by Barack Obama. The gun-haters even want to ban the "mentally ill" from owning guns. The Liberals could classify anyone who has ever seen a therapist as "mentally ill!" That means; if you're suffering from depression - you may not be able to get a gun! That's not all - soldiers who have PTSD could be denied the right to own a firearm! Imagine, coming home after serving your country and the government says: "You can't own a gun because you're dangerous!" I don't know about you, but I would be OUTRAGED! Enough Is ENOUGH!

WE CANNOT let Obama dismantle the Second Amendment via backdoor anti-gun executive orders. That's why we're leading the fight to stop EACH AND EVERY anti-gun executive order before Barack Obama can sign them into law!

1. Um, if Obama could just "hand congress executive orders or administrative actions"

I don't think we'd be fucking around with this debt ceiling "crisis".

BTW, I once had to disarm a family member who suffered from clinical depression and was threatening to shoot his kid and himself. It was one of the scariest moments of my life and although I generally oppose most restrictions on gun ownership, I'd have to say I would support keeping them out of the hands of people suffering from depression.

2. Just like we don't allow blind people to drive, we shouldn't allow crazy people to have guns.

3. If I start buying lots of semi-automatic weapon purchases within a short time

I hope someone from law enforcement gets in touch with me, even if its just to tell me I'm spending too much. Geez, I hope the ATF is all over people who are making multiple semi-automatic weapon purchases in a few days time. Maybe they can prevent something horrible from happening.
