A suggestion to Olbermann: Start a new daily program rebutting right-wing lies, both old and new.
Keith Olbermann could start a daily program devoted to undoing all the right-wing
lies that have been swallowed -- hook, line, and sinker -- by the brain-washed
Republicans over the decades. First point out the lies, then give the truth, with
evidence backing up the truth. Have a part of this program dealing with the old
lies, and the other part dealing with the recent ones.

Democrats are known to rarely answer back Neocon lies, which of course, helps to give
them more legitimacy. Now "Current TV" can be that "Voice of Truth" for everyone
who's interested in knowing the real info. I hope that in time it will become a
household name. It will take time, but more and more brain-washed Republicans will
become deprogrammed, and begin to learn more of the truth.

Advertising on Current TV, as well as by word of mouth on the part of Democrats,
would help to get some Republicans to watch. In time it ought to spread.

In addition, Current TV should have this Truth Program on the Internet, well cross-
referenced, so that anyone could look up the articles, both old and new. This will
gradually become a permanent source of reference for the lies the Neocons have been
spreading, and the truthful rebuttals to those lies.

What do you guys think of the above? I don't know if Keith will ever hear of this
suggestion if it just remains in this thread here. But, if any of you should know
of some way of geting it to reach him, by all means do it in any way you can. It will
be good for the liberty, freedom and democracy of our country, and hopefully, help to
bring back a semblance of sanity to it.

Many thanks in advance.

2. Don't take this the wrong way but, what would be the point?
I know Olbermann gets a lot of admiration here, but do you really think that a show like this on Current TV is going get the "truth" out to anyone other than committed liberals?

7. What would be the point? Nearly 50 % of Ameicans who listen
to the news vote Republican. They believe the MSM.

Here comes an opportunity for the Dems. to do something about competing
for more listeners to know the truth. Current TV is small now. Everyone
begins small. Let's help it grow.

So many people vote Republican because they believe the lies they're
being told. Let's try to reduce that number now that we have another
chance of spreading the truth. Let's help this chance grow.

3. I've been watching Olbermann for years and now on Current.
It has a limited following and I hope it grows. He gets exposure on Dave Letterman's Show which is great. He need more exposure. Tell your friends.

4. Media Matters does a good job of exposing Fox lies
but I agree, we need to be much more assertive in getting the truth out and learning how to properly frame our message. Current TV seems to be a great vehicle to do this.

Cenk should get a show on Current too - he was really growing into his comfort zone on the show and I really enjoyed his perspective.

I want to see a show that isn't infested with the GOP "perspective" (lies). Good grief, if I wanted to hear the GOP spew their lies, I would watch Faux. I want to hear DEMOCRATS.

I'd like to see:

1. Democratic politicians who can come on and teach the public about what is really happening in Washington
2. Congressmen/women who come on and talk about how they will help Americans
3. Discussion of plans to help America's issues
4. Positive framing of the message
5. Panel discussions on solutions that include the American public through instant call in poll (take a look at American Idol, it is a clear way to get American opinion)

Does anyone else have a suggestion or two for our dream Democratic themed shows on Current?

Annette
It feels good to even dream about having a Democratic network - are you listening Al Gore and Keith????

:)

8. I do hope this info will reach Al Gore and K. Olbermann. It would be
great if this station will earn the reputation of being The TV Station
that gives the real news -- including the news that most mainstream
media at times avoid even mentioning, for one reason or another.

Also important is establishing on the Internet a Googlelike list of
rebuttals to all the lies, both past and present, that the right-wing
media have been publishing. It will take personnel, time and money,
but I hope it will become THE place people will go to to look for
the truth.

5. Rachel often does that. Debunktion Junction.
Lawrence is no slacker in that regard either. I agree with you that Keith should make it a regular feature in addition to "worst persons in the world" which sort of functions similarly. I think they all should hammer away at the professional right wing liars.

I like your idea specifically. ;)
