In spite of what the press thinks, these insane fucks will be nothing but a bad memory.

Mark my words.

1. I hope you are right.
Maybe they could set up an exile nation and live together in complete misery.

2. I believe you're right and I believe it will be the republican party itself that causes the demise.

3. Evidence?
A little more information or reasons would help to make your case and convince more of us why we should celebrate.

7. Why? It's my opinion, do I need evidence for an opinion now?

8. What specifically gives you that opinion?
Otherwise your post doesn't enlighten us any further but just to notice that you have an opinion on it.

Your teacher in school would give you an F on if this were an essay topic.

10. Remember, on messageboards,
you are required to have a supporting site-link, often directly-wired to that site in your brain called "opinion.org" }(

4. Your word is marked.
But based on past experiences....that is that it never was anything more than an astroturf operation and STILL was made a big deal by the media....I would say you could be wrong.

11. Compost them!
That way, we improve soil health, sequester some carbon, and can grow enough grain for of our FFIC (Fast-Food Industrial Complex)

they aren't dictating legislation. nt

6. Good - as they never should have gotten air time to begin with. I've got one more for my wish list
I'd like to see the RW religious fringe get ghosted right along with their teabagging friends.

They can go have tea or teabag with Jesus and leave the rest of us in peace.

12. The Know-Nothings had one good election cycle, too, then faded quickly.
The tea party is a modern version of them so hopefully their fate will be the same. :)

But like cockroaches they made their way out of the sludge.

17. Agree ... they were created by the GOP, and will be killed by Citizen's United.
Once the GOP starts to get Citizen's United money, they'll be able to manipulate the fake Tea Party without ever having to meet with them in fake town halls.

20. I think it will be all TP'ers
Because they still need a 'fresh start' after the W years. That way they can sell themselves again as the party of 'fiscal conservatism' with no albatross of a record to drag them down.

I went to a couple of the local meetings as a represent ive from the Democratic Party and it was just cranky people yelling unsubstantiated opinions.

24. Of course, once GOP is in WH, they'll shut up.
They appear when Dems are in power and disappear once the Dems have been defeated. I don't remember hearing them complain until Obama took office, I think it's safe to assume they'll shut up if GOP regains control of the WH.

26. They will rear their ugly heads in 2014 under the guise of another name.
Same hatred and same bullshit as what are called the "teabaggers" now. It was the same bullshit in the 80's and 90's though they were led around by Falwell and Robertson under the guise of "Christian Conservatives" Same bullshit artists over the years. They were led around in the 70's by George Wallace. All of them a bunch of haters.

27. I fear this is so.
I know some people who keep getting excited about the idea that the Republican party is somehow really done for, this time. They keep telling me this, over and over, as months go by. I don't think it can happen. Our system tends toward two parties and the Repub. infrastructure won't go away. They'll still have the money, the supporters, the think tanks, the trained spokespeople and attack dogs, the dedicated ideologues. Quite possibly they do have many media outlets on their side, no matter what. The Republican party is not going away and neither are their extreme crazies. Even if there has to be a name change, the far RW will not go away. Theirs is a multi-generational commitment, as I believe Condi said. (But not a massive Right Wing conspiracy, of course. No way. That's crazy talk, Ren.)

28. They will have out lasted their usefulness to the wealthy and powerful by then, I reckon.
Now that the national dialog has fully shifted into radical regressive territory they aren't needed.
