"Adam Green and Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) Rip Off Stephen Colbert"
Adam Green is desperate for your money. So desperate that he is willing to lie, cheat, and steal to get it.

You see, a couple weeks ago, Adam Green (PCCC’s Treasurer and Grifter-in-Chief) registered the domain name “ColberSuperPAC” in an attempt to bleed donations and membership from Colbert’s Super PAC, Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow (which can be found at <www.ColbertSuperPac.com>):

3. Really? Seriously? This is supposed to be scandalous?
Really?

Or is it just weak attempt at character assassination?

As I wrote in the DKos diary, PCCC has jokingly, but for a serious purpose (progressive causes), coattailed on a PAC created, jokingly, but to make a serious point (absurdity of campaign finance), and it's "grifting?"

The page you are taken to is CLEARLY not for Colbert Super PAC, but is CLEARLY for "Progressive Change Campaign Committee," and it does not ask for donations, but is a sign up for the email list. There is a request to donate that clearly says "to elect bold progressive candidates" on the NEXT PAGE down at the bottom, IF you sign up to the email list. Regardless of whether PCCC is a lousy progressive organization or not - there is virtually NO way for anyone to be confused about what they are donating to, unless their reading comprehension is EXTREMELY low.

Colbert would (and possibly will - he'll be "scandalized!") just make this part of the joke. (And, no, there's nothing illegal in it.).

Seriously?

5. Not only that but it clearly states on the page:
"If you're looking for Stephen Colbert's site, it's at ColbertSuperPac.com.
If you are progressive and want to be part of effective activism, see below:"

4. If anything, Colbert's Super PAC looks like a ripoff. No misssion statement...
no agenda. I know Colbert is a comedian but I hope people are not really sending him money.

7. Exactly. I can appeal for money without a hint of what I am going to do with it.
Looks like a rip off.

8. I expect stepped up attacks against progressive organizations.
They are coming quite frequently like clockwork, especially this time surrounding the "debt crisis".
