20120--Where is Obama Going to Campaign?..in a phone booth???
So campaign season gets into high gear!! Where exactly is Obama going to go to campaign? Is he going to address union crowds and tell them he's going to "put on his sneakers and walk with them" again? (More likely they will throw their sneakers AT him----thanks for remaining silent when the Teabagger govs began the national attack on unions).

OR, will he go to senior centers and retirement homes? Ohhhh, let's see...actually I don't exactly remember him doing that last time (guess that should have been our clue that they were meaningless dogs to him).

Perhaps he will speak to teachers about education. Ahhh, nope....already screwed them (see paragraph one)and public education is another dog he wants to see dead).

How about doctors and hospitals?---opps, gonna "f" them over, too.

Maybe he could do a "greet" at the doors of Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, not many customers because they just don't have the money anymore since they are just insignificant middle class dogs, too.

Guess he'll just have to settle for black tie affairs and bear their pain.

1. Democrats support the President.
DU isn't the real world, not even close.

I mean really pissed. I am too. So at least in this area and among a good number of seniors your assessment is inaccurate.

12. I do not know one person, family or friends
who are not pissed at him. These are people who voted for him and were so excited in 2008 and I would say 8 out of 10 will not vote for him in 2012.

Most of my friends are in the 20-35 range, and virtually all of them are Democrats. One thinks he's awesome, but admits that he doesn't follow politics at all. The rest are pissed off.

18. I've never mistaken DU to reflect the real world. It's like an alternate universe
where DUers can fantasize whatever they like without the restraints of reality.

Take for instance wishing that Dennis Kucinich or Bernie Sanders would run for president. How either one of them would ever get elected is a nagging detail for those who fantasize about it. But this may be seriously done in the alternate universe that we affectionately call "DU".

The OP's message is right on the money. This President can start packing his bags and the Democratic Party better start looking for options.

44. Was Obama on the ballot in 2010? Who knew?

Not very familiar with the history of midterms, huh? Do you think it was some kind of triumph for opponents of the president to give him less support in Congress? You do know that it didn't hurt him personally or financially, right? But the folks who did stay home are now regretting that decision bigtime, which ironically makes the prospects for 2012 even brighter. :hi:

11. The majority of his campaign donations have come from banks
Now don't get me wrong - I'm not of the 'Obama is a Republican' school of thought.

Obama is way more liberal and progressive than Clinton, and he ranks up there with Carter

Yes, there have been some mistakes, but there have been successes other than Lily Ledbetter

He does need to stop coddling the GOP though - and it looks like he's finally had enough

41. Reuters, 7/16/11: 65% were from donations of $200 or less, according to FEC filings
By Eric Johnson and Kim Dixon

CHICAGO/WASHINGTON | Sat Jul 16, 2011 1:31pm EDT

CHICAGO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Nearly two-thirds of the $86 million cash haul raised by President Barack Obama for his re-election effort in recent months came from small donations of under $200 or less, according to filings released on Friday.

Earlier in the week, Obama released top-line data on his campaign from April to June, breaking a prior fundraising record by former president George W. Bush. The $86 million includes $47 million raised by Obama's campaign itself and $39 million raised by the Democratic National Committee.

The numbers underscore the campaign's promise of targeting small-dollar donations instead of powerful political action committees as the Democratic incumbent seems re-election in 2012.

More than 65 percent of the funds raised by the Democratic incumbent's campaign, Obama for America, were from donations of $200 or less, according to FEC filings.

he did in 2010.
