2012 will be a great opportunity to take back the House.
For a few reasons, the upcoming election will have a great potential to flip the House. There are a lot of first-term representatives, which are much easier to pick off. It is also likely to be an anti-incumbency election. Obama is still relatively popular compared to House members, which will lead to more Democrats being voted for.

What we need now is a class of strong candidates to come in and flip the close districts.

1. I'm 80% sure this opportunity has already been squandered.
Only a strong push from Congressional Dems, clearly re-establishing our brand and commitment to core principles, will salvage our chances.

4. that might be true, but the redistricting is in the hands of the state legislating
bodies....

A ton of them went GOP in 2010 and they will draw the districts.
