Who, besides me, doesn't give a crap about Casey Anthony?
Does her fate have ANYTHING to do with the fate of the world? Let her go back to the obscurity she deserves.

1. I'm concerned that people are being so whipped up that they will harm her or a lookalike
Already somebody tried to run down someone that they "thought" was Anthony. It reminds me of the violence post-9/11 by "Patriots".

I agree with you, the verdict is done. Let her shrink into nothingness.

The mob mentality concerns me. Casey Anthony is a substitute for the frothing anger at jobs loss, loss of credit, loss of homes, etc.

and Casey, made to feel responsible by her father who allegedly said that her mother would "never forgive her for it"

was "acting out" her confusion, panic and grief.

I don't know if it's true, of course, but the jury apparently wasn't sure.

Not sure she would have been found guilty of anything when the jury had that belief with NO EVIDENCE.

All of the shows on forensics having the possible effect that more people won't be found guilty if the evidence isn't clear, scientifically based evidence. That could have its effects on society.

37. have to admit i don't give very much of a crap
from out here in the distance, looks like here we have a lady who knows that we burn witches in america, her child died in some accident, she panicked, hid the body, and ended up on trial for murder as of course she might well have ended up on trial for murder anyway even if she didn't hide the body because when a child is involved, in this country, there's no such thing as an accident

there are lots of stories from my personal knowledge of people being accused of a crime where there was no crime, just a sad story, and i'm more concerned about the people i know who were never exonerated or publicized than about the people i don't know

it's hard to get excited about one more case of over-prosecution, esp. since it appears from my tiny knowledge that she may have contributed to her own over-prosecution -- of course what would really be awful is if her dad (thinking he was helping) or another family member (thinking he was helping) was the one who caused much of this fuss by hiding the body...whole thing is a mess and a tangle!

obscurity, i think, is her best chance to re build her life and i think we do well to ignore this particular sad story, there are lots of sad stories

40. The only way she'd go into obscurity
is if the jury had convicted her. You don't see anything about Susan Smith, anymore, do you?

The tabloid press has had a three-year ride off of Anthony, why would they stop now? They'll offer money for pictures of her, etc. Funny thing is, she'll be in just as much of a prison of sorts as she would have been if she had been convicted.
