Giuliani defends Murdoch: ‘Don’t rush to judgement’

The man who was mayor of New York City during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks is defending his longtime friend Rupert Murdoch against allegations that his company tried to hack the phones of 9/11 victims.

“Sure,” former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told CNN’s Candy Crowley Thursday. “I mean, intercepting communications like that is crime and has to be investigateded.”

“I think what there shouldn’t be — and we have learned recently a bunch of criminal cases of different kinds — don’t rush to judgment. Give people a presumption of innocence. I think that just how high up it goes is a big question and when we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions about,” he added.

But not all families of 9/11 victims agree with the former mayor.

“If somebody went in and took our information and took our last messages from our sons or what we were talking about, it’s not none of their business unless they can ask us,” Jim Riches, the father of a firefighter killed on 9/11, told CNN. “If we’re willing to tell them, we will tell them. To invade privacy like that, America has rights.”

Giuliani has often faced criticism for using his connection to 9/11 for political purposes.

2. And that is why, don't trust the FOX when it comes to Union GUYS!
FOX is trying to digress from the real criminal on Wall Street, heading up the New Corps media empire, but focusing on petty crimes. Of course, they had to be UNION guys, after all. The crimes of a few bad apples in the UNION barrel is far superior to those of the billionaires who steal the whole store.

5. A lot of 9/11 survivors and families aren't big Rudy fans, to say the least.

So there's a potential nexus.

4. Wait Rudy, you keep this up and you won't be able to portray yourself
as the patron saint of 9-11 fifty times every minute anymore.

6. Presumption of innocence
is a legal right of the accused in a criminal trial. Outside of a courtroom, anyone can think whatever they like.

9. THis is the rudy who ran on a platform of repeating the phrase "9/11"?
I'll most certainly judge him, and Rupert by extension.

11. Let's see...from an American's point of view, Murdoch's drummed-up "news" network
has been stinking up the airwaves since 1986. An investigation into Murdoch's business practices is no "rush to judgment". It's been a long time coming; it's about time to look into the hows & whys. It's overdue.

Thank God for the Brits.
