It's fake. It has been created and orchestrated by the Republicans for political purposes.

They're using this phony crisis to try and cut programs like SS and Medicare.

There is no need to cut anything right now. We are not actually in a crisis.

means-testing (getting AARP card soon), 'me' having to pay a little more could make a difference. Not restruture/voucherize. Most important safety nets. Insurance programs. Modest modifications can save trillions, including on provider side; drug companies. Making 1 million or more trade off.'

So it will be tough to reject any agreed to compromise.
