Pledge Signing Fetish???--Umm, Isn't that Un-American???
Why do all these pieces of garbage (GOP=Garbage On Parade)have this "pledge signing" fetish? Wouldn't that preemptively void their oaths of office? Shouldn't their oaths of office be considered a terrorist act because they are deceiving the people as to what they have sworn to "protect" and "defend"?? I mean, what would the Army do if the soldiers signed a "I won't shoot at anybody" pledge before they signed up???? Why isn't anybody asking these douche bags who they are serving----the United States of Grover, perhaps??????

1. Colbert should go to Congress with a pledge
The "I pledge not to sign any pledges" pledge.

2. DJ--I love it
Exactly!! I mean someone should bring this all up and demand that people do not take pledges to "god knows who and what" before they are elected to office and THEN it's only their oath of office..period!!!

3. It's juvenile. Hell they cannot even keep their marriage vows.

4. Same mindset as the "loyalty oath"...
crusade in "Catch 22".

Those people are big into symbols.

See... Promise Keepers, True Love Waits, etc.... ad nauseum.

They apparently think pledging something will make it happen.... kinda like... "if everybody believes in fairies, Tinkerbell will get better".

5. I get that same nonsense from left orgs
Emails every few days, "Pledge to do this or that..."

What's the point?

Either I will or I won't. A pledge isn't binding. Just useless feel-good stuff.
