In a "NUT"-shell, the real problem with today's Repuke Party...
is that when Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Insanity and Faux News set the agenda, there is no room to compromise. If you listen to any of these mentioned outlets, or the dozen's of "cookie-cutter" Wingnuts throughout the land, politics is a "zero-sum" game. It's all or nothing.

Even if you are a half-sane Repuke who knows that defaulting on our debt would make the 2008 Crash look like "Happy Days", you simply can't negotiate reasonably. Remember, in the crazy right-wing talking head minefield, anything that advances America while a Democrat is in office must be defeated. It's downright treasonous to not wish for "failure".

I'm just saying this, because I think it's important that if the corporate fat-cat "ass-hats" that have bankrolled this brand of "political discourse" have any concern for their Stock Portfolios, or the survivability of their businesses, MAYBE THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE ASS-PICKLES THAT ARE POISONING OUR POLITICAL DEBATE

The only way to get a compromise from a "Dildo-Head", is to ensure they are never in a position where their compromise is needed.

1. What Digby said
Compromise with these ideologues is akin to talking with your date about where to go for dinner. You say you're thinking Italian; she says she wants to dine on hubcaps and barbed wire. There really isn't a "compromise" to be had, because one party has tottered off the deep end. It's up to the sane person in the conversation to make a decision.
