4. If they default the dollar will crash. US Corporations will not get as much bang for their buck as
they invest in the rest of the world. So business will not allow that to happen. Obama could hold the line and insist on tax increases and get them. GOPers are more afraid of not getting election $$$ than they are afraid of the tea baggers.

7. Assuming there is a vestige of sanity left in the Pubs
then no. But that's not as safe a bet these days as it used to be. Before they just acted crazy for their base. Now???
