Called Millionaires Boehner & Cantor
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 11:04 AM by otohara
to see if these millionaires employ any people outside their jobs in D.C., not counting his government paid staff.

Nanny, gardener, handyman ?

Boehner's office hung up on me, she said, I'm not going to answer this question.
Cantor's office was dumbfounded

Job creators, they are not.

4. I think the point is, they pay people for services
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 11:21 AM by TBMASE
which, in itself, creates jobs.
You don't have to hire someone directly to create a job you only have to be part of the demand for goods and services.

There's something called "I Pencil" that kind of explains it.

15. Jobs overseas create jobs in this country too
from dock workers, truck drivers, clerical positions in import/export shippint, AP clerks and their supervisors to cleaning crews at the stores where the product is sold and the salespeople who sell the product to the american consumer.

Those jobs exist, in a lot of cases, because of jobs created overseas. A job overseas doesn't mean that no job is created in the US as a direct result.
Now, you can argue that we lose jobs at a higher ratio than we create one, but you can't claim that no jobs are created in this country as a result of manufacturing jobs leaving the country

8. You are so wrong
The republicans state that by lowering taxes on the rich "THEY" will create jobs
They do not say the rich will spend money at stores and malls.
And if you believe that when people spend money they create jobs then it would make more sense
to get the money into as many hands as you can.
So from that logic it would make sense to tax the rich much higher so the government could
spend more money on the less wealthy and they would all spend that extra cash and not
just put it into their pockets.

Tax the wealthy for the "NEW TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMY"

11. A person makes $5.4 million a year
you give then a tax break ..........

How much of that money are they going to spend in this country??
According to government sources there were at least 90% of households making less than $200,000/year (2009, 117,538,000 households)
If you give these people extra money how much of that are they going to spend??

The numbers show that if one splits the money up over a larger number of households then it stands to reason
that they will spend more of the money than the lesser amount of households.

Start with $2,000,000,000 and give that to the top 10% of households (11,754) how much is going to go for spending??
If you give that to the lower 90% of households how much of that is going to go to spending??
And as a added bonus it is estimated that a spent dollar goes around about 6 times............

It pays to put the money in the hands of the people that will spend it...........

Rebuttals are welcome

And to really answer your question: The republicans have never said that the tax cuts for the wealthy would mean that they would spend more money. Find a quote to refute that.
The republicans have said that the wealthy would go out and create jobs. That means that they create........

18. Millioinaires already have the disposable income to buy what they want.
Putting more money in their pockets will not lead to them buying more cars, appliances, home improvements, etc.

That's the fallacy of supply-side/trickle down economics.

7. I WISH the Democratic Party Leadership would ATTACK that falsehood.
The BILLIONAIRES are NOT the Job Creators.

Middle Class people with some money to spend are the Job Creators.
The Billionaires simply cut themselves in on the profits.

Billionaires did NOT get RICH by Creating Jobs when there is no demand.
THAT is just plain STUPID.

Why does the Democratic Party let those ASSHOLES get away with that shit?

Who will STAND and FIGHT for THIS American Majority?
You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.
