So no closing loopholes on corporate taxes until 2013
No tax increases but it essential we come up with a plan to make changes to entitlement programs within the next week?

Pres said he wants to protect seniors relying on these programs but what about those who expect those programs to be there in the future?

2. Obviously. Taxes have had nothing to do with making America
a strong nation. All taxes are bad, right? This is what the vast majority of pols seem to believe now. I don't. I think higher taxes for the wealthy could really help our nation.

6. On the issue of closing tax loopholes and increases
It does seem like kicking the can. So why are we talking about pulling off the bandaid right now when we're clearly not doing that for one very large prosperous section of the economy while simultaneously saying this is all about shared sacrifice? I just want to know where are corporations and the top 1% are sharing in the sacrifice?

And all this talk of changes to entitlements for seniors relying on those programs, what about those of us who have paid in our entire lifetime but are still currently working?

5. My gess is they're talking about means testing for SS. I don't think
he intended for changes to SS or anything else to go into effect immedately. The "in the next week" comment was meant for an agreed upon package to the debt ceiling.

7. Well that may create jobs building more planes
since they'll all get in their orders before the tax write-offs expire.
