4. I would love to see Sharpton take over at 7pm and leave Matthews with
a single show at 5 or 6pm. Cenk should be kept also. I want to see Matthews with one hour instead of him repeating his show a second hour. Sharpton has been impressive, he does not tolerate the talk over bullshit that republican mouths pull on Genk and Matthews, in particularly Matthews.

7. MSNBC should give Al a show
either use the repeat of Tweety or take away Cenk. Cenk I very seldeom watch - too radical for me. Cenk is like Tweety does not listen to his guests.

13. Thats pretty much what I've taken away from the few times I watched Cenk
Thats why I like KO and Rachel, they ask the guest a question and then let them answer without their interrupting
I'd like to see Al have the second tweety showing, hell even the first cause tweety gets on my nerves 'specially when he starts spitting everywhere.

11. I think he's awkward as a host; not bad as a guest...
Edited on Fri Jul-08-11 06:25 PM by immoderate
OK, for a novelty, but ultimately I don't trust him.
He is a reverend.

He gave us Tawana Brawley.

He could get better, but his interviewing is clumsy and self-conscious.

14. I think he'd do better with his OWN show......
filling in for someone else, ok, but I think he'd do better with his own show then his interviewing techniques would be better.

12. damn I missed him
I, too, would watch him should he get his own show. His delivery can sometimes be a little rough, but he GETS it. Keeps on target. Has a point and and idea, and doesn't give up. Unlike a lot of hosts, who have the smoothest hollywood delivery, but are all hair, makeup and mirrors, and will let the right wingers just lead them by the nose. Rev Al comes back with replies while I am shouting them at the TV machine.

Delivery can be taught, and mastered, being smart, determined and committed enough to not let the jerks shake you, not so much.

15. Sharpton was on FIRE!
Yeah he stumbled on some words and had some production problems, but Al was on point and drove the Repuglicans he had on up the wall! He got better with each show, pushing the dialog to the extent he interrupted guests so he could get the meat of the issues on the table before the clock ran out. But the best was his handling of the Repugs: "are you going to sit here on national television and tell the American people that you're going to cut Medicare but keep tax writeoffs for corporate jets? Are you going to sit here on national TV and agree with the statement Michelle Bachman signed that says black children were better off when their parents were slaves?" Cenk is great too. The best newscaster MSNBC has. But radical? Not even. Uger and Sharpton should be the next Huntley/ Brinkley.
