Pres Obama - Let the American People decide if they want Social Security Cuts
The one thing none of the politicians have done when discussing cutting social security / medicaid benefits is ask the American People what they want

Put it to a VOTE of the American People Pres. Obama

Because it is OUR Money - we paid into these funds for our entire adult working life. It was lawmakers at the behest of Corporate profits that robbed those funds. Let US - the American People decide what we want done with OUR money Pres. Obama

1. It's been quite a while since either party actually represented the people...
Silly little people, thinking government should be of by and for them!

2. Awwww c'mon you know that would never happen
Cause clearly the majority has expessed the desire and would most likely vote to tax the wealthy one percent, cut subsidies to wealthy corporations and even start to wonder out loud why no one is considering stopping the expensive wars or slashing the defense budget.....

3. DEMS wont do that with the wars or with the Bush tax cut extensions
So they are not likely to care this time either.

DEMS obviously do not base thier actions on the majority public opinion, but on what they think they can later convince them of, after the fact.

What the corporate donors want trumps what the voters *say* they want. The voters can be convinced, after the fact, that whatever we did was the "lesser of two evils". At least that must be what some at the top are counting on.
