Delta opens ticket office in Uganda

June 30, 2011

Delta is opening its first Sales, Reservations and Ticket Office in Kampala, Uganda. The office will enable Delta’s customers to conveniently purchase tickets on Delta’s flights to the U.S. and beyond including service via Amsterdam, the hub of Delta’s joint venture partner KLM.

“We are delighted to be opening a ticket office in Kampala, highlighting our commitment to offering the best service for Delta customers in East Africa,” said Jimmy Eichelgruen, regional director-Sales in Africa, India and the Middle East in a release. “Delta is the leading U.S. airline to Africa, with service to six destinations across the continent, and this new office increases our sales reach across parts of Africa where we currently do not operate direct service.”

The new ticket office is located at PSL Building in the Uma Centre, at the Lugogo show ground in Kampala. At the office, customers can book tickets to the U.S. from Uganda, Rwanda, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Southern Sudan and Burundi. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
