1. The response depends on whether you're getting the pay-off from those tax cuts.

7. who else owns them?
if they are extended during your term you get the credit for it
as of the second they were agreed for extension they became the bush/obama tax cuts
no hate just reality
i am sure you have plenty of good reasons why this was ok but if its ok then dont walk away from it
wear it proudly
bush/obama tax cuts for the rich is what they are/were

to give Obama credit for his own odious 'compromises'.

4. I would bet
tax increases would almost be symbolic, delayed, perhaps not even implemented despite the fact that business would bare its teeth in any event and the idea of compromise and shared sacrifice staggers on as a ludicrous myth to prevent total collapse. The greedy plutos and the vacuous GOP are so far over the line though that even this sour result is in doubt.

6. Unrec'd
These are not the Obama Tax Cuts and you know it. Obama went along with an extention as the price for getting unemployment compensation extension. I'm guessing you would have been happy to let them lapse as long as you could stand on your principles?

14. My guess is that while you speak of Unemployment benefits
you personally gain from the tax cuts started by Bush and retained by Obama.

13. It would be better to eliminate all the Bush tax cuts then to keep all of them.
Even if it means raising taxes on the middle class.

But returning to a 39.6% top marginal tax rate isn't enough. We need to return to a 91% top marginal tax rate for incomes over 3 million. We need to return to a capital gains tax rate of 35%. We need to return to a corporate income tax rate of 50%.
