Racist killer of 3 Pittsburgh Police Officers gets Death Penalty
Edited on Tue Jun-28-11 07:04 PM by RamboLiberal
Richard Poplawski, who was found guilty of ambushing three Pittsburgh police officers as they arrived at his Stanton Heights home for a simple domestic dispute, should be put to death.

That was the decision tonight of the jury of five women and seven men who weighed the evidence against the 24-year-old during this week's penalty phase of his capital murder trial and chose to impose three death sentences.

-----

At 6:59 p.m. the verdict came: Mr. Poplawski should die by lethal injection for the April 4, 2009, shooting deaths of Paul J. Sciullo II, Stephen J. Mayhle and Eric G. Kelly.

In the auxiliary courtroom where a video feed of proceedings was played, dozens of police officers were waiting for the verdict. Allegheny County Common Please Judge Jeffrey A. Manning had warned against any outbursts; after the verdict was read, though, a collective "yes" could be heard.

He will probably never be executed in PA unless he gives up his appeals. The good thing is this jerk can't hangout and be a hero in genpop with the NeoNazis in the prison system.

I don't want it if there is any chance of a person being innocent but there is no doubt about Poplawski's guilt.

Another one I'd give the injection to is Richard Baumhammer. That piece of crap went on a 2-3 hour racist killing spree in 2000 in Pittsburgh area killing his Jewish neighbor, 2 men from India in an Indian grocery (1 died several years later after being paralyzed by the shooting), 2 Chinese men in a Chinese restaurant, and an African-American karate student in a karate school. I was a student at one of the other branch schools and I'll never forget that day or the grief it brought to all the families.

Baumhammer sits on death row advertising for pen pals telling people he is an educated lawyer(yes he does have a law degree and his parents didn't lack for money).

4. I am so ready for Richard Bible to die Thursday
It has been 23 years since he killed 9-year old Jennifer Marie Wilson and left her body on top of a cinder cone in Flagstaff. 21 years since he was convicted of the kidnapping/assault and murder.

7. He was an immigration lawyer, who knew Ji-Ye (Jerry) and Tony,
the two Asian victims, personally.

Who do you think works at all of those $9.00 Chinese buffets around here, Rambo (q)

6. actually, I have a different take on why the death penalty should only be
used in the rarest occasions.

I feel that people should be left to live out the rest of their lives knowing that they can never be free again, and have to sit there and think about why they were in that prison ... every freakin' day of the rest of their lives.

That, at some point, becomes really inhumane ...

I have stated that people like the OK City bomber should have been denied his spotlight of being executed (martyred) ... he should have been placed in a deep hole, with no light or human contact, and only fed the minimal amount to keep him alive. That would be ... torture ...
