When Todd Akin declared his candidacy for US Senate, he would have been wise to clean up his 2010 campaign website, purging it of some extreme, religious-driven language that he might not want voters to see. That language could be especially embarrassing now, as he's being reamed by religious leaders from many groups, who find his words about 'God-hating liberals" offensive. Would you like to see what he said about God, church and government on his 2010 campaign website? Sure you would. And you can, because, just as he was declaring his candidacy for US Senate, a couple of us took the precaution of screen-capturing it.

Todd Akin posted the following on his 2010 campaign website:

This conviction works from the bottom up, moving from self-government to family-government to church-government and eventually to civil-government. Liberals instinctively seek to make civil government their god, and force everyone else to become their slaves through big government takeovers. They wish to control what you own, but also what you think.
