It is maddening that here we are in the 21st Century America that we have one political party throwing up one barrier after another for the sole purpose of bringing down the president.

Never would I have thought that even the most repellent Republicans could be that irresponsible that they are adamantly against forging any agreement over the deficit impasse whereby they demand everything, make no concessions, no compromises while they threaten to bring down total economic collapse in a time of America's greatest needs.

The scenario that the Republican leadership is presenting to Democrats, and more specifically, to President Obama can be distilled down to these conditions:

1. You must allow the complete vouchering out of Medicare, the cost of which will rise to an additional $6,000 per senior annually over what is paid out now to receive basic medical care.
