4. That's really great and all, but...
...I'm going to save my celebrating until marriage equality comes to back-waters like here in Idaho and the Deep South. (Probably won't happen until there's a federal amendment forcing conservative states to recognize all marriages from other states...)

6. It could also happen in the courts
Personally, I've always thought the full faith and credit clause is pretty darn clear, but IANAL. I think DOMA is unconstitutional based on that clause. If the overall national mood changes enough, courts might decide to change exactly how they interpret that clause.
