they're the ones that made me a liberal. What with their always going on about the Works of Mercy and the responsibility we have to care for one another. I clearly remember one nun telling us that paying taxes were one of the ways we met those responsiblilities. None of the sisters used the term but they all tried to teach us to support a "we, not a me, society".
