I'd never watched Dylan Ratigan before. Wow!
He doesn't like Obama at all, does he? Would he prefer McCain? Is he always this snarky?

1. Yes, the only alternative to Obama is McCain
And anyone critical of the administration secretly (or openly) wanted McCain to be president. Dang! And we'd been so careful. If it wasn't for those meddling kids . . .

9. Lol! So true!
There is an astounding lack of imagination in politics anymore. It's all black and white. You have to love Obama or else you want McCain? How about wanting a progressive and not giving up on what's important?

2. I gave it up about 15 minutes ago....Ellen is interviewing Ryan Gosling which is
far more intellectually stimulating than Dylan Rattigan at his best.

4. There are valid reasons to be critical of the Obama
administration... very valid reasons indeed. There are a few things (more than a few in fact) that I take offense to. Does that mean I wanted gramps in the WH? by your logic I guess it does.

11. Of course there are valid reasons to criticize Obama.
I am still upset with him for bargaining away the public option during the health care debate, and taking single payer off the table immediately -- no, scratch that; it was never on the table in the first place. I think he must be one of the lousiest negotiators ever to occupy the WH. He doesn't seem to get that the Repugs are not going to work with him no matter what he does, as they are proving yet again by walking out of the budget talks today. He's had his successes -- more than you might expect considering his opposition -- but he needs to channel his inner LBJ real quick. But Ratigan doesn't seem to think Obama can do anything right, or without ulterior motives. At least, that is how he sounds today.

19. One lesson about politics
politicians lie and politicians always work on ulterior motives. It is a given. There are exceptions, but sadly... Obama is not one of them.

5. Ratigan is a right wing Republican. I was really surprised when he got a show on MSNCB. I never
watch him.

12. He is?
Considering how pro-labor he is ... that would be surprising. Considering how anti-NAFTA and give-away trade agreements he is ... that would be surprising. Considering how he advocates for breaking-up the mega-banks ... that would be surprising. Considering how much he is in favor of REAL health care reform ... that would be surprising.

Ratigan is more populist and more fiscally grassroots than Barack Obama. Does that make him a "right wing Republican"?

No.

16. If YOU Never Watch Him, Perhaps You Don't Actually Know How Much
he talks about what he feels is going wrong in this country, and what those in power AREN'T doing FOR THE PEOPLE.

Sure he used to work at CNBC, but I find him to be pretty fair minded overall.

6. IF you've never watched him before, how can you draw a solid conclusion?
Based on 1 segment? 1 hour?
He's always pretty freakin' hyper, just most of the time he's railing at conservatives and corporates.

10. No he isn't always this snarky. I was surprised he was so
intense about the oil reserve. I actually usually like him. He really explains tough to understand economic issues well.
I don't know why some here call him a right-wing Republican. I've never noticed him tilting that way.
He blasts Republicans all the time on his show.

15. I've Watched Him For A Very Long Time Now... AND I Personally Think Many
of you who are criticizing him right now don't really watch him much of the time. He's been talking about how WEALTHY AMERICANS have been screwing "we the people" for quite some time now.

And I DO like him. Of course, everyone's entitled, etc., etc., etc.! I find him a very concerned citizen and prefers that tax rates should be raised on the wealthy and says so ALL THE TIME! And he OFTEN criticizes many, many Repukes and how he feels they are SCREWING up this country!

If he says things about OBAMA, perhaps a lot of it is TRUE and some would rather he NOT say anything against him. I have some strong opinions about Obama and Democrats and what they're NOT doing for us too!
