Paul Ryan's medicare plan is a 31,000 person job loser for Wisconsin.
If Congressman Paul Ryan gets his way with cuts to Medicaid he would put over 31,800 Wisconsin jobs at risk, and $3.4 billion in state business activity. Today Citizen Action, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, Families USA & the Coalition for Wisconsin Aging Groups released a new report showing how Ryan’s plan to cut Medicaid would hurt out state. (see it here)

“Every federal Medicaid dollar that flows into a state stimulates state business activity and generates jobs,” Ron Pollack, Executive Director of Families USA, said today. “Cutting Medicaid funds not only hurts seniors, people with disabilities, and children who count on the program as their lifeline, but it also results in fewer jobs and stunts the economic recovery.”

If you include Governor Scott Walker’s $500 million cut in Medicaid in the state budget that means an additional 9,500 Wisconsin jobs will be lost.

You and I know this is exactly the wrong time for Congress to cut a program that boosts the economy while also providing a boost to individuals and families facing hard economic times. We cannot afford to lose the over 40,000 jobs threatened by these Medicaid cuts in Wisconsin alone. With your help we can prevent this.

Please "ACT NOW" to let your elected official know we do not support any effort to cut Medicaid, threatening jobs, economies and our families!http://www.wispolitics.com/index.iml?Article=240174

The Republican Party reminds me of those Ronco commercials... they sell you more and more stuff,,,, and then they say wait... we will also include more.... whatever other poison pill they are trying to jam down your throat.... The Republican party is one long nightmare commercial... Time to just shut them off....

1. this is why the dems have to re frame their message!
The dems are weak on the 15 second sound bite and of course we know that FOX is looking to the repugs for day's message, while looking to edit anything the dems say to make them look bad. See, medicaid has been demonized by the repugs. It is a program for the unworthy poor. The lazy and those who want a free ride on the dole. It is not looked at as a program that pays hospitals, doctors, nurses, labs, practitioners, dentists. Those fees are all so low, that the providers really don't want to be bothered with those people. We all know that is a lie, a marketing sound bite. State jobs lost in private sector due to medicaid cuts: 40,000. Walkistan is doing it again.
